Revolution in Nigeria ‘A Matter of Time,” Warns Buhari

Muhammadu Buhari
Former Head of State and Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari, this afternoon in Kaduna State said if ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) continues with its corruption and short-changing of Nigerians, revolution will certainly occur in Nigeria.
It is only a matter of time, he warned.
The former presidential candidate, who recently had surgery in the United Kingdom, said, “The question of the PDP and their leadership is just decaying. PDP and their leadership don’t accept social justice. If there is no social justice, in a question of time there will be revolution in one form or the other. After the last general election, we went as far as to the Supreme Court, but after that, what happened in Kogi state, Adamawa and Sokoto states and the bye-elections? We believed that PDP is not prepared for real democracy and social justice. And I hope they will be strong enough to go through the consequences of their injustice.”
He charged upon Northerners to replicate what other parts of Nigeria did in protecting their votes and refuse being turn into slaves in their own country.
He said, “If we don’t struggle and make sacrifice, things will not change, if you don’t win or you want to remain as slaves in your own country, then you can go home and sleep, otherwise if you must fight for your rights, you must wake up and ensure that justice is done. You must make sure that your votes count. To prove to you that there is not going to be justice under PDP and its leaders, look at what happened in the hearing on petroleum resources in the National Assembly, pension fund, people were dying in twos while others are syndicates of thieves, with people stealing and keeping money in their houses up to the tune of two billion naira, by 2015 whoever stole public funds has automatically sentence himself to death.’’
