Jama’atu Nasril Islam Says Muslims Worst-Hit in Easter Bombing As Boko Haram Denies “Boko Haram”

The Northern Nigeria umbrella Muslim organization, Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), has stated that Muslims were the worst hit in the Kaduna Easter Day bombing by the Islamic militia group, Boko Haram, and called for the perpetrators to be brought to book.
This comes as the sect yesterday began a new public relations offensive, claiming it is not Boko Haram but “Jama’atu Ahlis-Sunna Lil Da’awati Wal Jihad.”  In Arabic, the name means “People committed to the propagation of the Prophet's teachings and Jihad.”
Their message was contained in a video sent to President Goodluck Jonathan by the militia’s leader, Sheik Imam Muhammad Shekau.
In the video, the group sings, “We are ready to fight Jihad; we are ready to kill Christians. Nigerians you should know we are not Boko Haram.  Boko Haram is not our name rather we are Muslims carrying out Jihad, we are ready to protect Muslim Ummah from infidels. Christians killing Muslims, and we are ready to clean Muslims aiding attacks against Muslim Ummah. We are holding our KlashinKov guns.”
But in a statement in Kaduna signed by Dr. Khalid Abubakar Aliyu, JNI pointed out the paradox of Easter Sunday.  “Muslims were the worst hit; therefore, we say ‘Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji’un’, May Allah’s forgiveness and mercy be showered on all the deceased.”
JNI called for prayers from all on a daily basis “as taught by the best of mankind, Prophet Muhammad (SAW),” to curb the menace that has bedeviled Nigeria and for the perpetrators to be made to face the law.
