Bamanaga Tukur,Chair of PDP and President Goodluck Jonathan in Addis Ababa recently
Mr. Tukur suggested that Nigerians also hail the duo by clapping for them. The PDP chairman spoke with reporters earlier today at his newly renovated swanky building at Wuse 2N, Abuja. He asked Nigerians to support the reported reconciliation of the two politicians. Mr. Obasanjo made a surprise appearance in Aso Rock last Sunday after weeks of criticizing Mr. Jonathan’s policies, including the current president’s inability to handle militant attacks by the Islamist group, Boko Haram.
Both Obasanjo and Jonathan worshipped together at the chapel within the presidential villa. This website described the two men’s meeting as a union of worshipers of Mammon. Mr. Tukur, who has faced recent trouble from some members of his party, said about the two presidents’ reunion, “I will ask you myself, don't you want to see that we are building one on top of the other? Obasanjo was the president before, today it is Jonathan.
For him to really go and work with Jonathan and give Jonathan what he knew, so that Jonathan will take what he knew and what he is doing today and help us move forward and also hand over one day to somebody. “Is it not right and encouraging? Let us clap for them.”
