Like Jonathan, VP Sambo Is Thrashed By PDP Governors In The North-West Zone

 PDP congress
Just as the Peoples Democratic Party congress in Bauchi thrashed Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, a contestant for the chairmanship PDP heavily funded by President Goodluck Jonathan today, his Vice President Namadi Sambo was thoroughly embarrassed in Kaduna State as his influence was diminished by PDP Governors of the North-West Zone in a similar contest.
A reliable source told SaharaReporters that contrary to Sambo’s disposition, he was reduced to confetti as his preferred candidate for the post of the PDP Zonal Secretary, Barr. Yakubu Abdullahi alias ‘Legal’ lost out to Bashir Tanimu Gambo of Katsina state. Mr. Abdullahi was later compensated with a less prominent position of Zonal Youth Leader of the North-West PDP.
The source said Governors Sule Lamido, Ibrahim Shehu Shema, Aliyu Magatarda Wammako, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso fought against Sambo’s intended superiority and hegemony in the party.
“He Sambo thought he will just impose people on the governors, but this is not Kaduna State rather this is the North-West PDP with governors that are more politically experienced and older than the VP."
The VP reportedly lost ground at the PDP Kaduna congress as his foot soldiers were booted out.

Another place the governors will struggle with Sambo will be the office of National Organizing Secretary; he is positioning Alhaji Abubakar Mustapha from Kaduna as his candidate.
Late President Yar’Adua’s henchman Ibrahim Kazaure was returned as chairman, Umar Maude, zonal financial secretary, Suleiman Daura, zonal publicity secretary. Mainasara Mikailu, zonal legal adviser, Hajia Maryam Waziri, zonal women leader and Nasidi Ali as zonal auditor.
The congress meeting was chaired by Senator Lee Meiva.
