RCCG acquires bomb detectors for Abuja rally

Organisers of the annual Redeemed Christian Church of God “Abuja Rally” have acquired metal scanners, bomb detectors and detonators to boost security at this year’s event.
Chairman of the Organising Committee, Assistant Provincial Pastor, Akinremi Bolaji revealed this at a pre-rally press briefing in Abuja, on Thursday.
He noted that the church was aware of the security situation in the country and had made arrangements with security agencies to ensure a hitch free event.
According to him, apart from offering prayers for the success hosting of both the rally and the “A Day Out with the God of Daddy G.O”, the church is making other security arrangements.
He said, “We must take security very seriously. And for this programme, we are taking it with all seriousness. We are making all arrangements; all security agencies have been put on alert.
“The number (of security agents) we are engaging this time around and it’s because we are expecting so much crowd than ever before and we have increased the number of security personnel.”
